NB fireNorth Bergen, NJ --  Local businessman Larry Wainstein and the North Bergen Concerned Citizens Group are donating $1,000 to the victims of yesterday’s four-alarm fire on Broadway that left two buildings condemned, four people hospitalized and eight people homeless.

Wainstein said the NBCCG is collecting clothes and non-perishable food items for the victims of the fire. They are also encouraging people to donate money to the victims through the Red Cross.

“The fire is a horrific tragedy for the people who live and work in those buildings and we want to offer whatever help we can,” said Wainstein. “This is the kind of tragedy that demands a community response and I am glad to work with the NBCCG to help however we can,” he said.

Wainstein said clothes and food for the victims can be dropped off at his store Tonnelle Wine & Liquors at  8516 Tonnelle Avenue, North Bergen. The NBCCG will pick up donated items if donors call Ken Morrison at (201) 220-3573 or email the NBCCG at This email address is being protected from spambots.
